We were both in school at LSU but somehow never crossed paths in Tigerland lol. It was early 2020 & COVID-19 had just made its debut. Of course, no one knew what was ahead of us. Apparently, both of us were bored because we downloaded the Bumble app. Codey posted that he was looking for a wedding date in Slidell later that year. I thought he was handsome so I responded where to send my application! We had our first date by the levee March 16th in Baton Rouge with a socially distanced (6 feet) picnic. The rest is history!

We were visiting Kay's family in Gulf Shores, AL when we decided to invite Codey's family to come with us to Fort Morgan. We arrived at Fort Morgan October 23, 2022 & it's absolutely gorgeous! During our visit, Kay noticed a random lady taking photos of her. Next thing she knew, Codey was on one knee. Not connecting the dots, she thought he was joking. Kay looked around & noticed new family there to surprise her! This was real & it was happenening! Codey then nervously exclaimed his love and popped the question! Of course Kay said, YES! MRS. DAVIE HERE SHE COMES!

Shortly after our engagement, we decided to review our priorities. We knew we wanted to live & have our wedding closer to home. Fast forward a year, we moved from Oklahoma to Mississippi in October 2023. Here, we were blessed enough to purchase our 1st home together! Not even a week into living here, we officially began our venue search! After research, we (Kay lol) narrowed it down to two venues. After seeing Three Lakes Manor, we knew this was our dream venue!
